As the days grow longer and the weather warmer, the landscape begins to awaken, signaling that wedding season is just around the corner. Spring is a time of renewal, both in nature and in life, making it the perfect season to prepare for the beautiful wedding celebrations ahead.
Preparing the Grounds
Spring at Montagu Meadows means rolling up our sleeves and getting to work. The land is at the heart of what makes our venue so special, and we take great pride in ensuring it looks its best for the couples who choose to celebrate their love here. This time of year, we focus on mulching the gardens, pulling weeds, planting fresh bulbs that will bloom throughout the season and adding new landscape features.
In addition to flowers, we also plant new trees and evergreens, further enhancing the natural beauty of the property. These plantings are not just about aesthetics. They contribute to the legacy of Montagu Meadows, ensuring that the land remains a vibrant and welcoming space for generations to come.

With all the springtime preparations underway, we’re eagerly counting down to May 1st, when wedding season officially begins. There’s something magical about spring weddings. The symbolism of new beginnings, the fresh blooms, birds chirping and the excitement in the air as couples start their journey together.
Montagu Meadows has always been a place where history and love intertwine. Named after Montagu “Monty” Hankin, a WWII veteran and beloved member of the Westminster community, the venue is more than just a wedding space. It’s a place where stories unfold, where families gather, and where lifelong memories are made.
As we welcome spring, we also welcome the couples who will say “I do” here in the coming months. Each wedding brings a unique story, and we’re honored to be part of so many beautiful beginnings.
